2. Enable Email to SMS sending

Email to SMS is an advanced messaging feature of the BulkSMS.com Web to SMS application that allows you to send SMS’s from your computer using your choice of email program. You are able to communicate with one person or groups of people using a familiar email interface.

As this is a 2way platform, responses to the SMS will be sent to the email account of your choice. They will appear as an email in your email Inbox. When you respond to these (SMS’s) emails they will automatically be converted back to an SMS and sent to the respondents’ cellphone.

To be able to send mails using your email program you need to follow the steps below:

Step 1: Log in to your BulkSMS account, go to the ‘My Account’ page and click on the ‘Email to SMS settings’ under the ‘Advanced Features’ section.

Step 2: Click ‘To add an email address to send from click here’

Step 3: Enter the 'Email address' that the SMS messages will be sent from. This is the address that must appear in the FROM field of the email, i.e. the email address of the person that will be sending the SMSs. You can enter the email addresses of various people that may need to send SMS’s using the Email to SMS feature.

Step 4: Enter a 'Password' to be used with each email address. This password will be entered as the subject of the email. It can be a different password for each of the users. For security purposes this should be changed regularly.

Step 5: Click 'Update'

Step 6: Click ‘Email Settings’ to return to the email setup page

Step 7: Click ‘To set the reply email address click here’. All responses to any SMS messages that you send out will be sent to the email address entered here.

Step 8: Enter the email address that all replies should go to.

Step 9: Click ‘Update’
