You can purchase credits (1 credit = 1 SMS message of 160 characters to be sent
within South Africa) through one of the following channels:
1. Credit Card
2. Electronic Funds Transfer
3. Bank Deposit
In order to send SMS messages to colleagues, customers, friends or family, you will need to buy credits. To buy credits using a Credit Card you will need to do the following:
Step 1: Select ‘My Account’ from the top menu of the BulkSMS Text Messenger.
Step 2: Click ‘Purchase More Credits…’. This will open a web browser which will automatically take you through the purchase process.
Step 3: Choose the number of credits you want to buy from the drop down menu. (e.g. from 200 credits at R84.36 up to 50,000 credits at R13,680.00).
Step 4: Choose ‘Credit Card’ as your payment method
Step 5: Click ‘Continue’
Step 6: Confirm the transaction details by Clicking ‘Purchase Credits’
Step 7: The screen will go to the WorldPay (a secure payment gateway) website. Choose the Credit Card type you wish to use (i.e. Visa or MasterCard)
Step 8: Enter both the ‘card’ and ‘cardholder’ details.
Step 9: Click ‘Make Payment’
Step 10: Confirm the payment details.
Step 11: Click ‘Continue’ to return to your BulkSMS account
You will also receive an email confirming your transaction. The email will be sent to the email address that BulkSMS has on file as entered by you when registering for or updating your BulkSMS account.
In order to view invoices that have been paid online (i.e. via Credit Card), you will need to log in to your BulkSMS account online. To be automatically logged in to your BulkSMS account online, simply:
Step 1: Select ‘My Account’ from the top menu of the BulkSMS Text Messenger.
Step 2: Click ‘Go to My BulkSMS Account…’. This will open a web browser which will automatically take you to your BulkSMS account homepage.

Step 1 (optional): Request Invoice before payment.
If you would like to request an invoice before you purchase credits please email your request to admin@bulksms.com along with your username and the amount of credits required.
Step 2: Make a payment into the BulkSMS Bank Account:

Step 3: Confirmation of payment.
Once you have completed the transaction, the proof of payment needs to be faxed (to +27(0)21-552 2848 in case of a deposit slip, or emailed to admin@bulksms.com in the case of an EFT (electronic funds transfer).
Please include your username (or invoice number if you already have one) as reference as well as your contact phone number on any correspondence to BulkSMS.
We will load your credits within 1 working day of receipt of confirmation of the payment.
An invoice for the deposit will be faxed and/or posted to you if you have not already requested one.
